CTX UPSTREAM PROVIDERS NETWORK FREEZE PERIOD NOTIFICATION

As the festive season is fast approaching, we would like to take this opportunity to notify you of our upstream providers / municipal freeze. All Fibre ; Wireless and V-SAT providers will cease all civil work, namely route, spur and access builds. This includes all reinstatements; therefore, some may have to be temporary. 

Mandatory Municipal freeze period officially takes place between the 15th of December 2022 and 15th January 2023. There may be certain municipalities that require operations to shut down earlier than planned. CTX will validate and accommodate accordingly. 

Important for clients to note: 

• Orders may be placed but any installations including Fibre, Wireless, and V-SAT installations will commence on the 15th of January 2023. 
• Civil work that thus started will be completed up to the 15th of December thereafter trenching is required to be closed. 
• Should civil work not be completed for your project during this time, the upstream will be forced to only re-open trenching in the new year. 
• A noticeable slowdown in wayleave approvals will be seen from the start of December, with some wayleaves standing over to the new year depending on where in the process the application is. 
• Unfortunately, within this period, CTX will receive limited to No feedback on orders currently in the implementation phase of the upstream provide. We will be able to resume orders again from the 16th of January 2023.

Please note this applies for new implementations of Fibre; Wireless and V-SAT orders and the Project Management offices thereof. Maintenance teams will still be operational during this period. 

LTE orders will be delivered in this time, but response times and deliveries could take longer than normal.
